Therapeutic Effects of Laser Light
Improving immune processes
Photons from laser light are absorbed by cell chromophores, activating enzymatic processes that enhance ATP production. The increased cellular energy supports more efficient cell function and regeneration, and contributes to immune system function and defense against pathogens.
Improving nervous system function
Laser therapy supports the regeneration of nerve connections and enhances the strength of signals transmitted along nerve fibers. Through its biostimulatory effect, it stimulates the body's self-healing processes, thereby contributing to the alleviation of pain, numbness, tingling, and burning sensations associated with nerve injuries.
Improved blood and lymph circulation
Soft laser therapy promotes the formation of new capillaries, thereby improving the blood, oxygen, and nutrient supply to damaged tissues. It supports cellular energy production and metabolism, contributing to faster regeneration, wound healing, and reduced scarring.
Reduced excessive scar tissue formation
Laser therapy reduces excessive scar tissue formation (fibrous connective tissue) after cuts, burns and surgeries by improving blood supply to the damaged area, promoting efficient waste removal, and thus accelerating the healing process. Faster healing always results in less scar tissue formation.
Faster healing of wounds and injuries
The biostimulating effect of soft laser stimulates cell and tissue regeneration, enhances cell metabolism, and supports the formation of new cells, tissues, and capillaries. It also stimulates fibroblast activity and collagen production, thereby promoting the regeneration of damaged tissues and wound healing.
Pain relief
The pain-relieving effect of laser therapy is based on several biological processes:
- Pain relief
- Anti-inflammatory
- Biostimulation effect – Stimulates the body's self-healing ability!
Inflammation and swelling reduction
Laser therapy promotes the dilation of small arteries and lymphatic vessels, thereby improving lymphatic circulation and supporting the removal of accumulated fluid from damaged areas. As a result, it can contribute to the faster reduction of swelling and bruising.
