Artemisinin:
Artemisia annua (sweet wormwood) is a herb that has long been used in traditional Asian medicine. Compounds found in sweet wormwood extracts, such as flavonoids and polyphenols, can help the body defend against oxidative stress and free radicals. They also have antiparasitic effects and can be effective in fighting malaria, intestinal worms, and other parasites.

Cordyceps Sinensis contains about 10-11% water, 8-9% fat, 25-26% crude protein, 18-19% crude fiber, 28-29% carbohydrates, minerals (P, Mg, Fe, Ca), vitamins (B1, 2, 12, E, K), essential amino acids (e.g., glutamic acid, L-tryptophan, L-arginine, lysine). More than 80% of the fat is unsaturated fatty acids in esterified form (32% oleic acid and 68% linoleic acid).
The most important active ingredients of the mushroom and the paste produced by various processes, as well as the Cordyceps sinensis products produced from them by various solvents and extraction methods, are high and low molecular weight polysaccharides (one of the most important polysaccharides is cordycepic acid), N-containing compounds (nucleotides and nucleosides, e.g., adenine, adenine nucleotide, adenosine, uracil, thymine, hypoxanthine, cordycepin), polyamines, and sterols (ergosterol and its derivatives).
Health benefits of Cordyceps Sinensis:
In various in vitro and in vivo studies, the most commonly used substances were aqueous extracts rich in polysaccharides from the mushroom or mycelia, as well as polysaccharide-free alcoholic extracts, and less frequently, isolated compounds.
Experiments conducted so far have revealed that the wild-harvested fruiting body of the mushroom and products manufactured through various processes (liquid and freeze-dried extracts) possess a range of valuable effects impacting multiple organs and organ systems (e.g., cardiovascular system, liver, kidneys), as well as the entire organism (immunomodulatory, antitumor effects).

Cordyceps sinensis may reduce tumor size in cancer patients. Chinese and Japanese researchers have investigated the beneficial effects of Cordyceps sinensis on cancerous tumors. In one study, 46% of 50 lung cancer patients experienced a reduction in tumor size. According to Japanese researchers, Cordyceps sinensis boosts the immune system and thereby the body's resistance to cancer cells. They proved their claim with mouse experiments.
Cordyceps sinensis may improve heart function. Several studies have shown that Cordyceps Sinensis reduces cardiac arrhythmias.

Cordyceps sinensis can help normalize cholesterol levels. Four studies showed that Cordyceps Sinensis can reduce total cholesterol levels by 10-21% and triglycerides by 9-26%, while increasing good cholesterol (HDL-cholesterol) by 27-30%.

Myricetin:
Myricetin is a member of the flavonoid class of polyphenol compounds, possessing antioxidant properties. [1] Common dietary sources [2] include vegetables (including tomatoes), fruits (including oranges), nuts, berries, tea [3] and red wine. [4] Myricetin is structurally similar to fisetin, luteolin and quercetin, and is reported to perform many of the same functions as other members of the flavonol class of flavonoids. [3] Antioxidants are molecules present in fruits and vegetables that have been shown to protect against certain forms of cancer and cardiovascular disease. Myricetin, along with other lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase blocking flavonoids, also possesses significant anti-inflammatory properties.
Iron:
Iron is a central component of hemoglobin, through which it picks up oxygen in red blood cells and transports it to the body's tissues. The most important function of iron is to deliver oxygen, essential for life processes, to all cells in the body. Without iron, cells do not receive oxygen, blood formation does not occur, and iron is also necessary for the normal functioning of the immune system, brain, skeletal muscles, and heart muscle. Iron is an essential micronutrient for our life processes, but our body cannot produce it, so we must take it in from external sources through food, and if necessary, with iron supplementation. Since iron absorption and utilization in the body are rather poor, only a fraction of the iron found in food enters the bloodstream to then reach the places where it is needed. It is a component of myoglobin in skeletal and cardiac muscle and heme-containing enzymes (catalases, cytochromes), which participate in important chemical reactions throughout the body. It is absorbed in ferro form from the duodenum. The absorbed iron is partly stored as ferritin, and partly incorporated into protoporphyrin to become heme pigment. Iron contributes to the maintenance of mental function and the reduction of fatigue. It participates in normal energy-yielding metabolic processes and cell division.
